This Roasted Asparagus Grilled Cheese Sandwich is a delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring roasted asparagus spears for a flavorful and nutritious addition.
Ingredients:
- 8 slices of bread
- 2 cups roasted asparagus spears
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions:
Set a griddle or skillet over medium heat to warm it up
Each piece of bread should have butter on one side
Put 4 pieces of bread on the pan with the butter side down
Add some shredded cheddar cheese to the top of each slice
On top of the cheese, put spears of broiled asparagus
Put the last few slices of bread on top, butter side up
It will take about 34 minutes of cooking until the bottom bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt
The sandwiches should be cooked for another 34 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is melted
Take it out of the pan and let it cool for one minute before serving
